ECOCEAN greatly appreciates the generous support from a variety of individuals and businesses to carry out our research and education work for the conservation of whale sharks. Please add your support and enable us to continue our whale shark work.
BECOME A SUPPORTER
You can become an ECOCEAN supporter and help to drive new research that will contribute to the conservation of the world’s biggest fish Our research is providing valuable information about whale shark activity and energy expenditure, diving and feeding behaviour, and their interactions with humans. Our use of innovative technologies, including drones, allows us new opportunities to observe and document the daily life of these gentle giants.
Your support is imperative for our work to continue and will be used for fieldwork equipment and expenses such as:
- Acoustic tags, hydrophones and receivers
- Daily Diary tags
- Tag attachment equipment (e.g. fin clamps)
- Waterproof cameras
- Vessel fuel and spotter plane charter
SPONSORSHIP
Your business or company can become a major sponsor of ECOCEAN. We welcome in-kind support as well as direct funding. Could your business or company provide:
- Research vessel
- 4WD tow vehicle
- Fuel and maintenance for vessels and/or vehicles
- Snorkelling and/or underwater camera equipment
- Field accommodation
- Flights and/or travel costs
Your business or company will be acknowledged as a sponsor in all ECOCEAN promotional material, social media and on our website (see below).
Staff members from ECOCEAN would be available to give formal presentations at your workplace or promotional events of your choice.
Staff from your company would have the opportunity to swim with whale sharks, accompanied by dedicated research staff from ECOCEAN.
