BECOME A SUPPORTER
You can be an ECOCEAN supporter and help to drive new research and further develop our community and school educational programs. Your annual contribution will be used to produce awareness materials aimed at informing and engaging community members in marine life conservation.
This support is imperative to expand our work on:
- Online education materials for whale shark conservation – whaleshark.org.au
- Annual monitoring (data and images collection from Australia) for submission to the world’s largest global database of whale sharks – ‘Wildbook for Whale Sharks’.
- Free Field Guide for distribution at visitors to Ningaloo – highlighting the unique species and how to minimize impacts when seeing them within the World Heritage Area at Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park.
- Assessing the level of the microplastics in our oceans: the impact on whale sharks.
SPONSORSHIP
Your company can become a major sponsor of ECOCEAN.
Expedition vessel – donation of or direct funding of an ocean-going expedition vessel.
Direct Funds Sponsor – Help us to keep tracking the whale sharks using cutting-edge electronic tags technology – to unlock some of the mysteries surrounding this species. Be a part of new discoveries! We seek partnership contributions of $5,000 to sponsor tracking of your individual shark.
Equipment Sponsor – Companies can provide material needed for our scientists in field. Including: vessel/vehicle accessories and services, gear, accommodation and travel.
Benefits for your company
- Your company will be acknowledged at our annual fundraiser ‘Oceans Alive’; in all ECOCEAN promotional material, social media and website.
- Staff members from ECOCEAN are available to give formal presentations at your workplace where possible.
- Staff from your company would have the opportunity to swim with whale sharks, accompanied by dedicated research staff from ECOCEAN’s.
